The Suoi Thau grassland is primarily inhabited by the Mong ethnic group. A distinctive feature of the Mong villages here is their warm, earthen houses, cozy in winter and cool in summer; the women wear colorful traditional clothing, reflecting their rich ethnic culture. Located in a high-altitude area, the grassland is home to small streams that provide water for the local people's daily lives.

On the Suoi Thau grassland, the Hmong people often cultivate food crops such as upland rice, corn, and medicinal plants. After the harvest, many wildflowers sprout on the abandoned fields, blooming in vibrant colors, transforming the area into a dreamlike grassland, shimmering and magical in the sunlight. In addition, the locals also grow some fruit trees, pine trees, cypress trees, and other cold-resistant plants. Particularly noteworthy are the rows of straight cypress trees proudly stretching across the vast grassland, creating a unique highlight in this majestic natural landscape.

Spring arrives with the vibrant colors of rapeseed flowers covering the entire landscape; summer brings the lush green of young corn and fresh rice; autumn brings the sweet fragrance of blooming buckwheat. Especially in October and November, the buckwheat fields burst into bloom, the entire meadow becoming an endless, dreamy pink carpet, with delicate morning mist swirling around the mountain slopes… All of this creates a magical picture, a peaceful natural space, hidden and revealed in the clouds.

From the Suoi Thau grassland, one can admire several communes of the former Xin Man district such as Pa Vay Su, Thu Ta, Coc Re, and Ta Nhiu. On a clear day, one can even see Bac Ha district of the former Lao Cai province. The trails and small paths crisscrossing the grassland create a beautiful landscape, serving as pathways for locals to work in the fields and for tourists to enjoy the scenery.

Currently, Pà Vầy Sủ commune is attracting investment and developing tourism in the Suôi Thầu grassland by building larger and wider roads, and encouraging people to plant flowers and fruit trees such as pears and plums after the harvest to attract and develop tourism.

The Suoi Thau grassland, nestled high in the mountains, boasts fresh air and pristine beauty. It's an attractive destination for nature lovers and explorers visiting the mountainous western region of Tuyen Quang province.
