Tighten security before the US Democratic Party convention

Chicago is currently the center of attention as the Democratic National Convention is scheduled to take place in the city from August 19 to August 22 local time and will officially approve Kamala Harris as the party's presidential candidate. According to Fox News, the convention is expected to attract about 50,000 people to the city, including delegates, activists and journalists. Chicago city officials said they have made necessary preparations and security is tight, with streets around the convention center closed.

According to a nationwide poll compiled by analyst Nate Silver, Ms. K. Harris is leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump by 47.1% to 44.6%. Ms. Harris has a 53.5% chance of winning the electoral college and a 65% chance of winning the national popular vote.
