Speaking to the press at a press conference introducing the concert "Tung Duong - The Singing Man" on October 8th in Hanoi , singer Tung Duong said that the repertoire he has chosen for "The Singing Man" will be relatable to young people and reach a wide audience, while also preserving the essence of Vietnamese culture through the works of composers such as Tran Tien, Le Minh Son, and Luu Ha An…

And after years of tirelessly weaving his own unique dream, traversing the musical realms of "Cubes of Color," "Tiny," "Heaven and Earth," "Human," etc., Tung Duong's voice now not only sings his own songs but is also a voice filled with dedication and a tribute to humanity.

The live concert consists of three parts. In part 1, Tung Duong still wants to honor senior composers with classic songs praising Hanoi and the Red River, such as Phu Quang, Tran Tien, Pho Duc Phuong…

In the remaining two sections, besides fresh and creative love ballads, there are also popular songs by Dong Thien Duc, Phan Manh Quynh, Tang Duy Tan… along with collaborations with young artists, the most special feature is the exchange of hit songs.

Thus, many songs will be performed live on stage for the first time, along with "Phoenix Wings" and "Men Don't Need to Cry"...

What's special about this live concert is that, in the spirit of supporting and learning from young people, Tung Duong chose male artists who are all young faces, hoping to bring strong and fresh energy.

These are four of today's hottest and most talented singers: Soobin Hoang Son, Trung Quan Idol, Double 2T, and their cousin, the "hit-making machine" of the Vietnamese music market, singer-songwriter Tang Duy Tan.

“Trung Quân Idol is a young singer with a unique and high-pitched voice. Trung Quân is successful in the love song genre, and we will complement each other so that our two most beautiful vocal ranges harmonize in self-reflective and romantic ballads. As for rapper Double 2T, we haven't had the chance to reunite since the release of the 'Phoenix Wings' MV, and this time the two of us will have a collaboration that promises to be explosive and impressive.”

Singer Soobin Hoang Son is a talented young artist from a family of musicians. Soobin's father is People's Artist Nguyen Huynh Tu, a figure whom Tung Duong greatly admires and respects in the industry. Soobin is skilled in playing musical instruments, composing, performing, and possesses eye-catching dance moves. This reunion marks a shift as Tung Duong will be singing a famous R&B song by Soobin Hoang Son for the first time, while his "junior" will be performing one of Tung Duong's hit songs. This new collaboration between Tung Duong and Soobin Hoang Son on two songs promises to be explosive and surprising for the audience.

"As for singer-songwriter Tang Duy Tan, he spent a whole year composing a new song for me to perform this time. After 'Above the Upper Floor,' 'Lonely on the Sofa,' 'Cutting the Sorrow in Two,'... I hope that Tang Duy Tan's 'Rebirth,' performed by me, will create a fresh breeze for listeners, especially young audiences," singer Tung Duong revealed.

Following the success of the music video "Cánh chim Phượng Hoàng" with Tùng Dương, rapper Double 2T promises an explosive and impressive collaboration with Tùng Dương this time.

Accepting the invitation to participate in the live concert "Tung Duong - The Singing Man," Soobin Hoang Son said: "Tung Duong is an older brother and colleague whom Soobin has greatly admired since he competed in the Sao Mai Diem Hen competition. He has inspired Soobin's passion for his profession, so when I received the invitation to participate in this live concert by Tung Duong, I felt very happy and excited."

Having collaborated with Tung Duong on many projects, including the highly successful "Human" live show and "Tung Duong's 20 Years of Singing," music director Huu Vuong believes that working with young artists is also a challenge; if not done well, it's easy to be compared unfavorably.

"But whatever Tùng Dương sings, it's always good. There are singers who are good at catching trends but don't sing well; Tùng Dương sings well, and now he even knows how to catch trends. The way Tùng Dương has changed and is targeting younger audiences is the right direction," said music director Hữu Vượng.

Tung Duong also revealed that this live concert will feature at least six new songs that he has never performed live before. The works in the concert will be arranged by Nguyen Huu Vuong with fresh and youthful colors and layers. Even with melancholic songs, Nguyen Huu Vuong always knows how to make them powerful and radiant, without being sentimental.

Following his live concert in Hanoi, Tung Duong's team will have another performance on December 1st at the Trung Vuong Theater in Da Nang City, featuring guest singers Thanh Lam, Trung Quan Idol, and the winner of the 2022 Sao Mai singing competition, Le Minh Ngoc.
