From July 1, 2023, the basic salary will be adjusted to VND 1,800,000/month according to Decree No. 24/2023/ND-CP of the Government . Therefore, the social insurance and health insurance contribution levels will also be adjusted in accordance with the new regulations.
1. Student health insurance premium for the 2023-2024 school year
From July 1, 2023, due to the adjustment of the new basic salary level, some changes in the 2023 health insurance policy will also be adjusted accordingly. In particular, the health insurance contribution level for students will be adjusted to increase.
For students, the monthly health insurance premium is equal to 4.5% of the basic salary (of which the state budget supports 30%, and students pay 70%). Specifically:

2. Family health insurance contribution level
From July 1, the family health insurance premium payment in order of members eligible for fee reduction is as follows:

3. Compulsory social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, occupational accident and disease insurance
According to regulations, the maximum monthly salary for compulsory social insurance, health insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance is not more than 20 times the basic salary. Thus, from July 1, 2023, the maximum salary for compulsory social insurance, health insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance is 36,000,000 VND/month .
Regarding the highest unemployment insurance contribution rate, it is 20 times the regional minimum wage:
+ Region I is 93,600,000 VND/month.
+ Region II is 83,200,000 VND/month.
+ Region III is 72,800,000 VND/month
+ Region III is 65,000,000 VND/month
In Tay Ninh , enterprises operating in Tay Ninh City, Trang Bang Town, Hoa Thanh Town, and Go Dau District apply the minimum wage of region II; enterprises operating in the remaining districts apply the minimum wage of region III.
