Nghe An The moment a 62-year-old teacher wiped away his tears while listening to his 12th grade students sing in their last class period went viral, touching many people.
On May 17, Mr. Van Duc Minh, a Biology teacher at Hoang Mai High School, taught the last review period of the school year to class 12A13. With more than 5 minutes left in the class, the 62-year-old teacher sat down at his desk to write in the yearbook and send his best wishes to his students for their upcoming graduation exams.
"After finishing high school, you will enter a new horizon with many new things. And perhaps there will be many more difficulties and hardships. I always hope and hope that you will overcome...", Mr. Minh wrote. After a yearbook page of more than 10 lines, the Biology teacher also said that this was his last class because he had reached retirement age.
When the teacher finished speaking, the whole class 12A13 sang the song "We Freeze Together" in unison: It's never been to class as early as today. The weather is sunny, calm, the wind is blowing. It's an indescribable feeling, just standing there in a daze... It will be very sad and disappointing. After today we'll be far apart/ When will we be able to have another chance...".
Listening to his students sing, Mr. Minh continuously wiped away his tears, then picked up his bag and walked out of the classroom. This moment was recorded by a student and posted on social media. In the video, a representative of the class shared that this was the first time he saw the teacher cry.
"Thank you for more than 30 years of dedication to education, thank you for your love and tolerance for each of us students. I wish you good health and happiness...", this student said.
