On October 2, Hanoi students return to school, schools flexibly teach

On October 1, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent a document to the People's Committees of wards, communes and schools about focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and preparing to welcome students back to school.

Hanoi students will return to school from October 2. Schools are required to be flexible in teaching and proactive in responding to the storm.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training recommends that the People's Committees of wards, communes and schools proactively organize cleaning, disinfection, and flood control in school grounds, classrooms, kitchens, restrooms, playgrounds, etc. to ensure a safe environment for students and teachers.

Schools must promptly notify parents of plans to resume teaching and learning from October 2 according to the 2025-2026 school year schedule. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training noted that schools will only welcome students back to school when they ensure full safety conditions.

In the face of natural disasters, storms, floods, and epidemics, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires heads of educational institutions to regularly monitor the situation, promptly adjust flexible teaching and learning plans, and choose appropriate forms; at the same time, proactively report to the People's Committees of wards and communes; relevant units and the Department of Education and Training for coordination and direction.

Schools coordinate with functional agencies and local forces to ensure smooth and safe traffic for students to go to school; proactively review and count damages (facilities, equipment, teaching aids, tree systems, fences, school gates, etc.) of the unit; promptly report difficulties and problems to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Previously, due to the serious impact of storm No. 10, from the afternoon of September 30, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training urgently notified educational institutions to let students of all levels take a day off on October 1 to ensure safety.
