Another social housing area in Binh Duong has started construction.

On May 25, Phuc Dat Production and Trading Company Limited held a groundbreaking ceremony for the high-rise social housing project.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Chairman of the Board of Members of Phuc Dat Group, said that the project is being implemented on a land area of ​​over 1.1 hectares in Tan Hiep ward, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province, with a scale of 3 blocks, 18 floors high and 1 basement; total construction floor area of ​​76,000m².

The project is expected to provide the market with 936 apartments and 39 shophouses, meeting the needs of residents for housing and living facilities such as community living areas; swimming pools....

The total investment of the project is about 1,000 billion VND, expected to be constructed within 20 months, from the completion of related legal procedures.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee affirmed that social housing development is one of the very important policies that the Party and State pay special attention to in order to meet the "settling down" needs of workers, especially workers, low-income people and policy beneficiaries.

According to the Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, the locality has focused on and mobilized all resources to develop social housing in the area, so the province highly appreciates, acknowledges, appreciates and thanks businesses for actively accompanying the government in developing social housing projects.

"The Phuc Dat Tan Uyen high-rise social housing project is a clear demonstration of the cooperation of the business community with the Government 's major policy - realizing the goal of building 1 million social housing units for low-income people and workers in the period of 2021 - 2030" - Mr. Tri said.

Previously, in early March 2025, Binh Duong also started construction of the K-Home social housing area invested by Kim Oanh Group, with a scale of nearly 27 hectares, located in the center of Binh Duong new city (Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city), with a total investment capital of more than 5,000 billion VND.

The project is a collaboration between Kim Oanh and Singapore's Surbana Jurong Group.

Implementing the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030", according to Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister , Binh Duong was assigned the target of developing 86,900 social housing units, of which 8,247 units will be completed in 2025.

To speed up progress, at the beginning of the year, Binh Duong province granted investment certificates to seven social housing projects with a scale of 9,200 apartments.

Binh Duong will also allocate a minimum land fund of 2% of the total area of ​​industrial parks in the list of industrial parks in the province to build dormitories, service works, and public utilities for workers working in industrial parks.
