Another commune in Dak Nong meets advanced new rural standards

On May 7, the People's Committee of Cu Jut district (Dak Nong) held a ceremony to announce Nam Dong commune meeting advanced new rural standards.

Nam Dong is the second commune recognized as an advanced NTM commune in Cu Jut district. Over the past time, with the implementation of the NTM construction program, the material and spiritual life of Nam Dong commune people has been increasingly improved.

With a satisfaction rate of 99.8%, the people of Nam Dong commune, Cu Jut district ( Dak Nong ) always trust, unite, and strive to build their homeland to be more and more prosperous.

Currently, the whole commune has 113 small-scale industrial production establishments, 679 commercial and service establishments; 22 enterprises, 4 farms, 4 cooperatives, 5 cooperative groups, 2 professional farmer associations...

Rural sectors and industries are developed; products are abundant and diverse, meeting the production and consumption needs of the people. Currently, the commune has 5 OCOP products meeting 3-star standards.

Delegates and people attended the announcement ceremony of Nam Dong commune, Cu Jut district (Dak Nong) meeting advanced NTM standards.

According to assessment, Nam Dong is one of the leading localities in developing transport infrastructure in Cu Jut district. The commune has mobilized people to donate land, assets, and hand over land for transport development.

Specifically, people donated over ^155,000m2 , equivalent to 19.46km of road, contributing to 100% of inter-commune, inter-village, and inter-family roads being asphalted and concreted.

In addition, over 85% of village, hamlet and inter-village roads have been installed with lighting and security cameras thanks to the people's contributions.

The Party Committee and the government of Nam Dong commune received the certificate of recognition for advanced NTM and the welfare project bonus awarded by the Provincial People's Committee.

Currently, the commune's poverty rate has decreased to 51 households, accounting for 1.31%; near-poor households are 75 households, accounting for 1.92%. The average income per capita in 2024 is 65.12 million VND/person.

The fields of education , health, culture, and public administration of the commune achieved many positive results; national defense, security, and social order were maintained.

Individuals and groups with achievements contributing to the new rural construction program of Nam Dong commune, Cu Jut district were commended and rewarded.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with great achievements and contributions in building Nam Dong commune to meet the standards of an advanced new-style rural commune were commended and rewarded by People's Committees at all levels.
