(GLO) - Besides exploring the vibrant natural scenery during the peak flowering season at various destinations, seasonal flower tourism also offers unique experiences, beautiful moments, and impressive photo series.

Perhaps, we have all heard of or known more than once the plum blossom, bauhinia, and white pear blossom seasons that attract visitors in Moc Chau (Son La), buckwheat flowers in Tuyen Quang, and jacaranda and lavender flowers in Lam Dong... And if Mang Den (Quang Ngai) is still mentioned as the "paradise" of cherry blossoms, then Chu Dang Ya ( Gia Lai ) has long been known in the hearts of locals and tourists as the land of wild sunflowers.

Wild sunflowers on the Gia Lai plateau, associated with the vibrant flower festival at the foot of the Chu Dang Ya volcano (Bien Ho commune), create a colorful, shimmering, and magical natural landscape. Along with wild sunflowers, Gia Lai also leaves a lasting impression on tourists through its characteristic seasonal flowers such as coffee, golden shower trees, and ginger.

In spring, coffee plantations are covered in white blossoms on the hillsides. As autumn arrives, rows of golden cassia trees add to the fresh, pure beauty of nature. These days, on the slopes of Chu Dang Ya mountain, vibrant red ginger flowers appear and disappear in the mist, their reflections shimmering against the clouds. Whenever you look up and see the buds in the valley beginning to burst into vibrant red, that's when autumn arrives on the plateau.

Originally, the ginger plant was grown by farmers for its tubers, which were processed into flour to make vermicelli. In recent years, however, captivated by the gentle and proud beauty of this flower, many people have come to take photos, enjoy the cool air, and admire the pristine natural scenery.

Ms. Bui Ngoc Nga (61 years old, Dien Hong ward) shared: “Gia Lai has flower seasons that are second to none, each season contributing to and enhancing the beauty of nature. Every autumn, the ginger flowers turn a vibrant red, painting a corner of the sky. Rain and wind don't stop me from going to admire the flowers; it has gradually become a habit.”

For Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Thuy (65 years old, Cam Le Ward, Da Nang City), the flower season in Gia Lai is always a place of heartfelt connection. Her youth was spent here, with its roads ablaze with flowers in all four seasons. Every year she returns, her heart is filled with affection. Ms. Thuy expressed: “I love every road, every street corner, every flower season in this place. Gia Lai is not only beautiful because of its flowers, but also because of the love and kindness that people put into each blooming season.”

A fresh new suggestion on the seasonal flower tourism map in recent years is admiring the wild ixora flowers at Ta Ma stream (Vinh Thinh commune). The wild ixora flowers here have a warm, deep orange-red color, nestled among the green canopies of the old forest. From February to the end of May, clusters of yellow and red ixora flowers burst into bloom along the banks of Ta Ma stream, their reflections shimmering in the crystal-clear water.

For tourists, a trip to Ta Ma stream to admire the blooming Ixora flowers is a truly adventurous experience. If integrated into an experiential tour, immersing visitors in pristine natural surroundings, combining trekking, photographing the flowering season, and learning about local culture, the Ixora flowers of Ta Ma forest could become a unique tourism product of Vinh Thinh, adding to the diverse landscape of seasonal flower tourism in Gia Lai.

Currently, seasonal tourism, including flower seasons, leaf-falling seasons, and fruit seasons, is gradually becoming a popular choice for tourists. For many, this form of tourism offers spiritual value and fresh, exciting emotions during and after the trip. More broadly, seasonal tourism also brings added value to tourism companies in general, provides more experiential options for tourists in particular, and creates a highlight that contributes to the socio-economic development of each rural area when local people participate in exploiting and serving tourists with unique local tourism products.
