Nguyen Van Toan, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hong Duc University, stated: "The university's trade union currently has 702 members operating in 24 departmental unions. We recognize that implementing emulation movements and campaigns is a crucial lever to motivate staff and employees to strive and contribute, while also improving the quality of education and training. At the beginning of each academic year, the trade union closely collaborates with the relevant administration to develop emulation and reward plans linked to the university's key tasks. The trade union regularly cooperates with the professional departments to review, adjust, and evaluate the content of training programs towards applied vocational training, ensuring continuity, scientific rigor, modernity, and relevance to practice, based on feedback from employers, managers, and graduates. This not only contributes to improving the quality of training but also helps students better meet the demands of the labor market after graduation."

Adhering closely to its core mission, the school's trade union has promoted emulation movements linked to the innovation of teaching methods. The movements "Good Teaching - Good Learning," "Excellent and Creative Labor," and "Every Teacher is a Role Model in Ethics, Self-Learning, and Creativity" have been widely implemented, attracting 100% of faculty members to participate. Teaching demonstrations, class observations, and professional development activities are regularly maintained, with an average of about 200 teaching sessions organized each academic year. Through these emulation movements, the faculty and staff continuously strive to learn, train, and improve their skills, actively innovating teaching content and methods, contributing to the improvement of the school's educational quality.

The movement for scientific research and innovative practices has been identified as one of the key tasks, directly contributing to improving the quality of training. During the 2023-2025 period, the university's staff and faculty implemented 137 research projects at various levels; organized 90 scientific conferences at various levels; and published 751 research papers in specialized journals, including 237 international articles (153 of which are listed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases). The content of these projects focused on serving teaching and the socio -economic development goals of the province. Many research results have been effectively applied in practice, contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific and technological activities. Several outstanding products have been commercialized and widely transferred, such as the Hong Duc 9 rice variety and the QT55 corn variety. In particular, the research product of Associate Professor Dr. Luong Thi Kim Phuong on the process of manufacturing antibacterial liquid lipstick using AgZrP nano powder has been accepted as valid by the Intellectual Property Office and is awaiting the issuance of a Utility Solution Patent. This is clear evidence of the effectiveness of linking emulation with research and innovation.

The movement to write innovative experience reports and technical solutions has been regularly maintained and achieved many positive results. During the 2023-2025 period, many useful solutions were applied in practice, contributing to improved efficiency in management, teaching, and scientific research. Notably, four technical solutions developed by the school's staff and employees were awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The Trade Union of Hong Duc University also does a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and employees. The union actively participates in monitoring and advising the university on the full implementation of regulations and policies regarding salaries, insurance, allowances, maternity leave, training, and professional development, ensuring that 100% of staff and employees receive their entitlements as stipulated. The work of visiting and supporting union members is carried out promptly and thoughtfully, especially during holidays or when members face difficulties or illness. This contributes to stabilizing the lives of union members, creating peace of mind at work, and fostering long-term commitment to the university.

With these achievements, the Trade Union of Hong Duc University continues to affirm its role as a bridge between employees and the university, and as a driving force promoting the patriotic emulation movement.
