Dau Lieu Ward has 35/74 alleys and streets recognized as meeting urban civilized standards.

Lane 330, Quang Trung Street (in TDP6, Dau Lieu Ward) was previously narrow, had no drainage system, and garbage was dumped haphazardly, making the place dirty and unsightly. Implementing the policy of the People's Committee of Dau Lieu Ward, in 2020, TDP6 Party Cell and the People "joined hands" to build Lane 330 to meet the standards of a civilized urban alley.

To be recognized as a civilized urban alley, it must meet 10 criteria set by the Town People's Committee, including: road surface width of 5.5m or more; road surface paved with asphalt concrete; drainage system with cover; beautiful flower beds and green trees; lighting system; no littering, throwing trash in the alley, taking out trash on time...

To implement the construction of an alley and street that meets urban civilized standards, the Party cell committee, the head of the residential group and the officers of the Front work committee visited each household to propagate, mobilize and explain to the people to donate land to widen the road, contribute money to pave asphalt and build a drainage system, and some other auxiliary works. Thanks to that, after nearly 5 months of implementation, in early 2021, alley 330 became an urban civilized alley, ensuring 10 criteria.

People in Alley 330, Quang Trung Street (in TDP6, Dau Lieu Ward) actively take care of flowers and ornamental plants to create environmental landscape.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh (lane 330, TDP 6, Dau Lieu ward) shared: "Since the construction of the alley to meet urban civilized standards, people have changed their habits and there is no longer a situation of littering. To maintain and preserve the achievements, households take turns sweeping the alley, reminding neighbors to throw trash on time and in the right place, determined to preserve the environmental landscape of the residential area."

Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, there has been a strong change in people's awareness and consciousness. The construction of civilized urban alleys in Dau Lieu ward has achieved many positive results. Currently, in Dau Lieu ward, 35/74 alleys and streets have been recognized as meeting urban civilized standards.

Ms. Tran Thi Kieu Khanh - Vice Chairman of Dau Lieu Ward People's Committee said: "To build and maintain civilized urban alleys, in addition to regularly reminding households not to litter, dump wastewater on sidewalks, roads and organize garbage collection on time, the Ward People's Committee directs residential groups to promote propaganda and mobilize people to comply with regulations on urban order, traffic safety, and urban culture".

Nam Hong ward officials regularly meet, propagate and remind people to regularly clean and preserve the urban environment in residential areas.

In recent times, the work of urban beautification, construction of civilized urban alleys and streets has been focused on by the Party Committee of Nam Hong Ward, with the focus on leadership and implementation, and has received the consensus of the people. The urban appearance is increasingly cleaner, more beautiful, more spacious and more modern. Currently, Nam Hong Ward has 40/141 streets and alleys meeting civilized urban standards.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Thuan - Vice Chairman of Nam Hong Ward People's Committee said: "To achieve the above results, in the past time, in addition to the town's resources, the ward has focused on mobilizing resources, mobilizing people to contribute funds to invest in urban infrastructure development, renovating and upgrading roads, alleys, drainage systems, renovating lighting systems, planting new shade trees on the streets. At the same time, directing functional forces to regularly coordinate with residential groups to inspect, detect and handle cases of encroachment on roadsides, sidewalks for business purposes, awnings, advertising signs that do not comply with regulations... causing traffic disorder and loss of urban beauty".

The construction of civilized urban alleys and streets will contribute to creating a "bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized" Hong Linh urban area.

After nearly 6 years of implementing the construction of civilized urban alleys and streets, with the drastic participation of the entire system from the town, to wards, residential groups, especially the consensus of the people, up to now, Hong Linh town has 159/750 alleys and streets meeting urban civilized standards.

Mr. Tran Quoc Thuan - Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information (Hong Linh Town People's Committee) said: "With the goal of creating a "bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized" Hong Linh urban area, in the coming time, the town will continue to maintain and expand the civilized urban alleys and streets, focusing on propaganda and mobilization to raise people's awareness. At the same time, direct specialized departments to strengthen inspection and supervision of implementation according to the set criteria; organize and strictly handle cases of encroachment on sidewalks and roads, maintain regularly, and prevent re-encroachment".
