Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu presented the Politburo's decision approving Mr. Vu Hong Van to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Commission at the 45th meeting of this agency on the morning of August 8.
Major General Vu Hong Van is an officer who has held many positions such as: Deputy Political Commissar, Deputy Commander of Mobile Police, Ministry of Public Security ; Director of Dak Lak Provincial Police; Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police; Director of Internal Political Security Department - Ministry of Public Security.

At the 8th Central Conference of the 13th tenure, Major General Vu Hong Van was elected by the Central Executive Committee as a member of the Central Inspection Commission.
The Secretariat also decided to transfer Major General Vu Hong Van, member of the Central Inspection Commission and Director of the Department of Internal Political Security (Ministry of Public Security), to work at the Central Inspection Commission.
The Central Inspection Commission is a specialized inspection and supervision agency of the Central Executive Committee, performing tasks and powers as prescribed by the Party Charter.
This is also an advisory body, assisting the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in directing, guiding, and organizing the implementation of the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary tasks.
The Central Inspection Commission currently has 20 members, with Mr. Tran Cam Tu as Chairman.
Besides Mr. Vu Hong Van, who was just approved by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Chairman, the Central Inspection Commission currently has 8 other Deputy Chairmen, including: Mr. Tran Van Ron (Permanent Deputy Chairman), Mr. Tran Tien Hung, Mr. Hoang Van Tra, Mr. Nghiem Phu Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang, Ms. Tran Thi Hien, Mr. Hoang Trong Hung and Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet.
