Political Commissar of Military Region 7 Tran Hoai Trung presents decisions on personnel matters to the generals.

On February 14th, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Military Region 7 held a conference to announce and present decisions on personnel matters. Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 7, chaired the conference.

According to a decision by the Ministry of National Defence , Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nam, Standing Committee Member of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command; Major General Phan Van Xung, City Party Committee Member and Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command; and Colonel Nguyen Cong Anh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, will retire from active service and will retire upon reaching the age limit for military service. The retirement will take effect from March 1, 2025.

Major General Vu Van Dien, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, has been appointed Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command.

In addition, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Trung, Political Commissar of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Military Command, was transferred and appointed as Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command; and Colonel Pham Nhu Quan, Political Commissar of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Military Command, was appointed as Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Vu Van Dien, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, pledged his determination to always uphold the spirit of unity, responsibility, and discipline under any conditions and circumstances. Together with the Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Command, he pledged to lead and direct the armed forces to be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people, ready to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization and a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and outstanding."
