In Tashkent (Uzbekistan), approximately 300 representatives from the fields of education , culture, and arts participated in the program.

Artists from Nanjing University of the Arts have recreated 10 iconic Chinese characters—mountain, road, snow, etc.—through poetry, music , and dance. This evokes the timeless spirit of the ancient Silk Road, a path that witnessed the meeting of civilizations for thousands of years.

She encouraged the younger generation of Uzbekistan to continue exploring the language as a way to broaden their understanding and cultivate human connections.

Meanwhile, Nodir Karimov, Vice-Rector of Tashkent University of Oriental Studies, said the event had sparked a love for the Chinese language among students, helping them to better appreciate the artistic beauty and philosophical depth hidden within the language.

In Samarkand, Uzbekistan – a city once the jewel of the Silk Road – dozens of local students performed classical poetry through recitation, instrumental music, and Hanfu performances.

Amidst the ancient landscapes of Central Asia, Eastern poetry resonates like a gentle dialogue between tradition and the present.

Mr. Xiang Wei, Director of the Confucius Institute at Samarkand Foreign Language Institute, noted that listening to, reading, and reciting poetry helps students better appreciate the charm of Chinese poetry as well as the spiritual values of traditional culture.

In Nairobi, Kenya, approximately 200 guests, including officials, scholars, artists, and students, enjoyed poetry, music, and dance performances and participated in academic discussions at the Confucius Institute of the University of Nairobi.

The event space is like a cultural symphony, where language is expressed more through emotion than through words.

George Okeyo, Executive Director of the Kenya Bureau of Literature, said that Chinese poetry is now included in the Mandarin-language curriculum in many Kenyan schools, demonstrating the growing influence of Chinese culture in this East African nation.

Meanwhile, in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), over 600 people from the fields of politics, education, arts, and media participated in a program with activities such as a poster exhibition on Chinese characters and poetry, a poetry recitation competition with prizes, and lectures on modern ways of expressing ideas using Chinese characters.

Li Hua, Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, noted a growing interest in learning Chinese among young people in Kyrgyzstan.

Bishkek Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva believes that such activities help young people better understand Chinese culture through intimate and emotionally rich experiences.

Rayyana Askarova, a 10th-grade student who has been studying Chinese for two years, expressed her hope that more similar programs would be implemented so that the younger generation would have the opportunity to explore Chinese culture and the country in greater depth.

Organized by the Language Education and Cooperation Center under the Chinese Ministry of Education, "Poetry Connects the World" is an important language exchange activity.

Through online and live programs centered around classical Chinese poetry, the event showcased the rhythm, imagery, and emotions of Eastern poetry, while also fostering humanistic cultural encounters between China and international friends.
