(PLVN) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today, hot weather continues in the North, North Central, and Southeast regions.

The Hydro-Meteorological Agency forecasts that on May 8-9, in the Northwest and the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, there will be hot and extremely hot weather, with some places being especially extremely hot, with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places above 39 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranging from 45-50%.

On May 8-9, in the Northeast, there will be hot weather, some places will be extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 50-55%.

On May 8, the Southeast region will have hot weather with the highest temperature of the day commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, with some places above 36 degrees Celsius. The lowest relative humidity is commonly 50-55%.

Warning, from May 10, widespread heat wave ends in the North and Central regions; from May 9, heat wave in the Southeast region tends to decrease gradually.

Hanoi

Cloudy, hot during the day; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Southeast to South wind level 2-3.

Lowest temperature: 27-29 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 35-37 degrees Celsius.

Northwest

Cloudy, hot and very hot during the day, especially very hot in some places, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night in some places. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius, some places below 24 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places above 38 degrees Celsius.

Northeast

Cloudy, hot during the day, some places are very hot; showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Southeast to South wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 26-29 degrees Celsius, mountainous areas below 24 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 34-37 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa - Hue

Cloudy, hot and very hot during the day, especially very hot in some places; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Southwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 26-29 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places over 39 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang - Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, hot and very hot in the North; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the afternoon and evening. South to Southwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: North 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places above 38 degrees Celsius; South 33-35 degrees

Central Highlands

Cloudy, sunny during the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening; scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 22-25 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places above 34 degrees Celsius.

Southern Vietnam

Cloudy, sunny during the day, some places are hot, especially in the Southeast region, with showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees Celsius; in the East 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius.
