The Department of Construction of Thai Nguyen province has just issued Document No. 2593/SXD-QLKCHTGT, dated October 9, 2025, on traffic congestion notification at Km116+350 (in Tan Ky commune, Thai Nguyen province) and traffic diversion to ensure traffic safety.

Accordingly, due to the impact of the circulation of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and storm No. 11 (Matmo), at about 4:45 p.m. on October 6, 2025, at Km116+350, National Highway 3B (in Tan Ky commune, Thai Nguyen province), a road subsidence occurred with an area of ​​about 50 square meters, a depth of 8 to 10 meters; the road width was about 1.5 meters. By October 9, 2025, the subsidence had grown wider, causing a road break (length along the road about 16 meters; depth 13-14 meters).

Although the road management unit has gathered machinery and equipment, due to the complex geological subsidence, there is still a phenomenon of further subsidence, so it is necessary to study, evaluate, and propose appropriate solutions. Therefore, temporary treatment cannot be implemented to ensure traffic because it will potentially pose a risk to labor safety as well as traffic safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.

Thai Nguyen Provincial Department of Construction announces traffic jams and organizes traffic diversion and regulation through the broken road area, as follows: Announcement that National Highway 3B (Section from Km96+600 to Km130+600) cannot be used due to the broken road at Km116+350 (in Tan Ky commune, Thai Nguyen province) so that people and vehicles participating in traffic are aware and can choose a suitable travel schedule.

Plan for traffic diversion and regulation through the subsidence area for vehicles is as follows: Vehicles traveling on National Highway 3B from the central area of ​​Na Ri commune, Thai Nguyen province and neighboring communes to Bac Kan ward (Thac Gieng intersection), Thai Nguyen province and neighboring areas move along National Highway 3B to Km96+600, turn left to enter DT.256 (at Km63+100), continue moving on DT.256 to Km0+00 (in the territory of Cho Moi commune, Thai Nguyen province), turn right to enter QL.3 (at Km116+600) continue on QL.3 to Km144+00 (Thac Gieng intersection) or travel along National Highway 3B to Km85+450, turn right to enter QL.279 (at Km245+700), continue moving on the route QL.279 to Km299+00 turn left to join QL.3 (at Km182+680), continue moving on QL.3 to Km144+00 (Thac Gieng intersection) and vice versa.
