According to Reuters news agency, on April 4 (local time), the Governor of Russia's Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, was just attempted to be assassinated by a stranger with a knife. The attacker was later subdued. Photo: TELEGRAM/ANDREI CHIBIS.
Murmansk regional health authorities said Mr Chibis' condition remained serious and he needed further intensive care. The Russian Investigative Committee (CPK) said the attacker was also receiving medical care. He has a criminal record for causing minor injuries.
