On April 10, the People's Committee of Cat Hai district ( Hai Phong city) provided further information related to the case of "Foreign female tourist accused of being raped in Lan Ha bay".
Specifically, at 10:30 a.m. on April 9, Cat Hai District Police received a report from a female CA (born in 2004, foreign tourist) who stayed overnight on the Era Hp48xx ship (captained by TXL (born in 1980), anchored in the Quai To area, Lan Ha Bay, Cat Hai District, Hai Phong City.
According to the report, on the evening of April 8, the female police officer was raped by PVH (born in 1989, an employee working on the Era Hp48xx ship).

Upon receiving the report, Cat Hai District Police invited Ms. CA and PVH and related people to the district police headquarters to clarify the incident.
During the investigation, the female tourist police said that due to drinking alcohol, she could not control herself and did not remember what happened afterwards.
By the evening of April 9, the police officer had submitted a request not to appraise and a request not to prosecute Mr. PVH.
According to the authorities, based on the police officer's petition, Cat Hai District Police coordinated with relevant agencies to unanimously assess and make a record to handle the case according to regulations.
