The 9x teacher behind the success of 4 literature valedictorians and 1 C00 block valedictorian

Sowing words with her heart, teacher Le Thi Ngoc Tram (born in 1995, Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City) reaped sweet fruit after the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. The 12th grade literature class she was in charge of achieved "huge" results with 4 students being the top students in literature nationwide (9.75 points) and 1 top student in block C00 of Da Nang City (total 29.5 points).

Surprisingly, behind these outstanding results is a young teacher who is the head teacher for the first time and also the first time leading the 2007 class to win awards for excellent students at all levels. The "leader" of the first class went through 3 years with the General Education program (GDPT 2018), and she turned pressure into inspiration, challenges into opportunities.

"New and unprecedented things often make us worried and hesitant to commit, but they also arouse interest and encourage creativity. For example, the literature exam according to the 2018 General Education Program is very inspiring. Like a revolution in nature, the exam uses materials outside of textbooks. Therefore, the story of rote learning and rote learning does not continue, instead, it is a rich and emotional literary world . It is both familiar because it is a classic work of Vietnamese literature, and strange because it is the first time you approach it and require each person to have their own feelings. From there, it awakens the ability to perceive and create literature when you hold a pen" - Ms. Tram expressed.

Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Tram is one of the first teachers recruited by the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam (old) according to Decree 140 (attracting and creating a source of staff from excellent graduates and young scientists) of the government to work at the school. She is a young, talented and enthusiastic teacher. In addition to her outstanding achievements in class management and training of gifted students, Ms. Tram also participates in research activities in the field of literature with many articles published in newspapers and magazines.

As a literature teacher, Ms. Tram helps students approach literature through a journey of finding the familiar in the strange. In the rules of literature, they simultaneously discover their own unique traits.

She often reminds her students when doing exercises, especially when approaching the type of questions of the 2018 General Education Program, that they are very open-minded and have the ability to stimulate exploration and creativity. She also encourages her "green shoots" to "grow and develop" in their own way, suitable to the "nutrients" that each person has accumulated.

She did not forget to advise her students that when approaching literary issues, they should be free within the framework, artistic within science, and have their own viewpoint within solid literary theory. This way, the new writing will have enough ideas, be new enough, and not fall into a dead end or be rambling, far from the issue that needs to be developed.

V6k11 and the 3-year journey with teacher Ngoc Tram to conquer dreams.

Ms. Tram's journey to find her way with the 2022 - 2025 literature class (V6k11) has "landed" successfully with many outstanding achievements. Right from grade 10, V6k11, which she is in charge of, had students winning the Second Prize in the National Excellent Student Competition. By grade 11, 5 students joined the team and won 1 Second Prize and 1 Encouragement Prize in the National Excellent Student Competition. The record was set in grade 12, 22/25 V6k11 students won the Provincial Excellent Student Competition, 6 students joined the National Excellent Student Competition and won 4 Third Prizes and 1 Encouragement Prize. As for the regional Olympic awards, her "warriors" all excelled in bringing home Gold Medals, achieving First Place in the team, and even one student was the valedictorian of the April 30 Olympic exam.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Hien, Ms. Tram's student for 3 years, expressed: "When being a homeroom teacher, teaching specialized classes or guiding the review of the 2018 General Education Program, she always takes students as the center, creating a fair and open class, so that each student can develop their potential, abilities and individual personalities. It is not the best or most modern method, but we believe that it is the most appropriate and effective way to guide and accompany."

Ms. Tram was recognized as an outstanding young teacher at the provincial level in 2024.

Once a literature major, Ms. Tram pursued the career of "cultivating people" to continue using language to express the deepest things in the heart and connect like-minded souls who love literature. Living with passion, Ms. Tram possesses her own teaching and learning method to help students conquer their dreams and delve into the beauty of literature.

Ms. Tram guides students to understand the rules of literature, so that they can apply the characteristics of the subject and genre, and develop scientific writing in the spirit of the new program. At the same time, the young teacher always finds ways to help students awaken the artist in each individual.

"A work of art is created by talent, sensitivity in the soul, and the artistic quality of each person. Connecting stories in literature with reality and personal experiences will help you see that literature is not far from life and that students of literature do not become dreamers or fanciful. Literary works always lead us to touch the nature of the world, of reality and the nature of the human soul. Therefore, studying literature is learning to become a practical and kind person" - Ms. Tram shared.

To concretize the method of learning literature, the young teacher enhances the reading and writing skills of the second grade. She often encourages students to read to empathize, to have their own feelings as those who directly come to that work, not through the guidance of others or pre-existing opinions. The literature teacher also shares her happiness when most of her students share the same passion for reading. During recess and free time, they often read books, stories or works of many different genres.

Besides reading skills, Ms. Tram also focuses on writing skills for students through the slogan: "We do what we write". According to her, without writing, we will never be able to use language to fully convey ideas in our perception and soul.
