Honoring more than 200 outstanding collectives and individuals on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day

On the afternoon of November 15, the Department of Education and Training (DET) held a meeting to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrades Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments and branches.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the tradition of respecting teachers, expressed gratitude for the contributions of teachers, and honored groups and individuals with outstanding achievements.

Along with the education sector of the whole country, the education sector of Vinh Long province has had many positive changes; the role and responsibility of the teaching staff has been enhanced; the quality of comprehensive education has been constantly improved, meeting the expectations of leaders at all levels and the trust of the people.

Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission awarded certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to individuals.

To date, the province has more than 57% of schools meeting national standards. Last school year, 99.58% of students graduated from high school; 61 students won national excellent student awards. Many teachers were awarded noble prizes and titles.

102 individuals received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister on this occasion.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Kim Ngoc Thai praised and acknowledged the dedicated and enthusiastic contributions of the team of teachers, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the education sector of Vinh Long province in the past time. He requested the Department of Education and Training to soon advise on the issuance of an Action Program to implement Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo "On breakthroughs in education and training development" in the province. Effectively implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Regarding the comprehensive development orientation of the industry in the coming time, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: “ Continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education - not only in terms of scores but also in terms of personality, skills, and creativity for students. Build a team of teachers who are both " red and professional", capable of applying technology and new methods in teaching and learning; fully implement policies and regimes for teachers and managers. Increase investment in facilities and information technology equipment, especially for schools in remote areas and ethnic minority areas; promote digital transformation; build a friendly, safe, and modern educational environment, creating the best conditions for students to develop comprehensively”.

Teachers were awarded the title "Golden Chalk".

At the meeting, the Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to 102 individuals; awarded the title of Outstanding Teacher Family to 29 teacher families; and awarded the title of " Golden Chalk" to 81 teachers from all levels. Nguyen Thien Thanh High School for the Gifted and Huu Thanh High School received the Government's Emulation Flag.
