Loudspeaker clusters are installed in almost all cultural houses of hamlets and residential groups in the province.

In Na Tap hamlet, Dinh Hoa commune, the loudspeaker cluster installed at the cultural house has become a familiar "friend" of the people. Thanks to the broadcasting system applying information and telecommunications technology, people can quickly update policies, information on production, health, education or security and order.

No more noisy speakers, intermittent signals or noise mixed with background noise, the smart broadcasting system has helped information reach people faster, more accurately and more attractively. Mr. Phung Dinh Tam, a resident of Na Tap hamlet, said: When there is a policy or urgent announcement, just a few minutes later we can hear it on the loudspeaker. Very convenient, especially during the rainy season or when there is an epidemic.

These positive changes are the result of a strong transformation in grassroots information work that Thai Nguyen province has been implementing recently. The smart broadcasting system is controlled via computers and mobile phones, helping to flexibly manage content, time and frequency of broadcasting.

In particular, unified management software from the central to communal level helps ensure security and effective control of broadcast content.

Identifying grassroots information work as an important task, Thai Nguyen has stepped up investment and modernized the broadcasting system in all 92 communes and wards in the area. In 2024, the province will deploy a radio station applying information technology and telecommunications according to Decision No. 135/QD-TTg dated January 20, 2020 of the Prime Minister on improving the efficiency of grassroots information activities based on the application of information technology.

In fact, the conversion from wired and wireless broadcasting systems to smart broadcasting has created a big step forward in grassroots communication work. Mr. Vi Van Dung, Head of Dong Danh hamlet, Vo Tranh commune, said: Since installing the broadcasting system applying information technology, broadcasting news and propaganda to people has been much more convenient and effective. Everyone supports it.

Not only improving sound quality, the smart broadcasting system also expands the broadcasting range, allowing simultaneous broadcasting of multiple contents according to different regions or times. Thereby, information is transmitted to the right audience, right needs, avoiding overlap or omission.

Ms. Bui Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Information - Press - Publishing Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), informed: Up to now, in more than 3,100 villages, hamlets, residential groups, and residential areas in the province, there have been over 2,100 locations installed with radio transmission clusters applying information technology - telecommunications. In the coming time, localities will continue to invest in expansion to cover all villages and hamlets with smart radio broadcasting systems.

Along with investment in equipment, training and education of operators, editors and broadcasters at the commune level are also focused on. Radio content is increasingly diverse, updating current news, propaganda on digital transformation, administrative reform, new rural areas, natural disaster prevention, environmental protection... suitable for the life of each region.

It can be seen that, with the strong direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the participation of authorities at all levels and the consensus of the people, the grassroots broadcasting system in Thai Nguyen is "transforming" in the digital age.
