Public address systems have been installed in almost all community cultural centers in hamlets and neighborhoods throughout the province.
Public address systems have been installed in almost all community cultural centers in villages and residential areas throughout the province.

In Na Tap hamlet, Dinh Hoa commune, the public address system installed at the community center has become a familiar "friend" to the residents. Thanks to this public address system utilizing information and telecommunication technology, people can quickly update themselves on policies, information regarding production, health, education , and security and order.

Gone are the days of crackling loudspeakers, intermittent signals, and background noise; the smart public address system has helped deliver information to people faster, more accurately, and more engagingly. Mr. Phung Dinh Tam, a resident of Na Tap hamlet, said: "When there's an urgent announcement or policy, we hear it over the loudspeaker within minutes. It's very convenient, especially during the rainy season or when there's an epidemic."

These positive changes are the result of the strong transformation in grassroots information work that Thai Nguyen province has been implementing in recent times. The smart broadcasting system, controlled via computers and mobile phones, allows for flexible management of content, time, and frequency of broadcasts.

In particular, the unified management software from the central level down to the commune level helps ensure security and effective control of broadcast content.

Recognizing grassroots information dissemination as a crucial task, Thai Nguyen province has accelerated investment and modernization of the broadcasting system in all 92 communes and wards. In 2024, the province implemented a broadcasting station utilizing information and telecommunication technology, in accordance with Decision No. 135/QD-TTg dated January 20, 2020, of the Prime Minister on improving the effectiveness of grassroots information activities based on the application of information technology.

In fact, the transition from wired and wireless broadcasting systems to smart broadcasting has made a significant leap forward in grassroots communication. Mr. Vi Van Dung, Head of Dong Danh Hamlet, Vo Tranh Commune, said: "Since installing the broadcasting system using information technology, disseminating news and propaganda to the people has become much more convenient and effective. Everyone supports it."

In addition to improving sound quality, smart broadcasting systems also expand the broadcasting range, allowing for the simultaneous transmission of multiple content streams in different regions or at different times. This ensures that information is delivered to the right audience, meeting their specific needs and avoiding overlap or omissions.

Ms. Bui Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Information - Press - Publishing Department (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), informed: To date, in more than 3,100 villages, hamlets, residential areas, and neighborhoods throughout the province, over 2,100 locations have been equipped with smart broadcasting systems using information and telecommunication technology. In the future, localities will continue to invest in expanding coverage to all villages and hamlets with smart broadcasting systems.

Alongside equipment investment, training for operators, editors, and broadcasters at the commune level has also been emphasized. Broadcast content is increasingly diverse, updating current events, and promoting digital transformation, administrative reform, new rural development, disaster prevention, and environmental protection, tailored to the needs of each region.

It is evident that, with the decisive direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the involvement of all levels of government, and the consensus of the people, the grassroots broadcasting system in Thai Nguyen is "transforming" in the digital age.
