Major General Huynh Van Ngon, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 9, highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in general and the VNA's permanent representative office in Can Tho in particular in fulfilling information tasks in the region.
Over the past period, VNA has closely coordinated with Military Region 9, promptly disseminating information on the Party and State's guidelines and policies, and the Central Military Commission's resolutions. This has contributed to shaping public opinion and fostering consensus among the people in the process of leading the socio-economic development and national defense and security of Can Tho as well as the Mekong Delta region.
Congratulating the journalists and reporters of VNA on the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day, Major General Huynh Van Ngon expressed his hope that the cooperation in the field of information between VNA and Military Region 9 will continue to be close and sustainable in the future, contributing to the overall development of the armed forces of Military Region 9, ensuring national defense and security, socio-economic development, and spreading the humanitarian values of localities in Military Region 9.

Hau Giang's press thrives in the digital age.
At the Hau Giang Provincial Radio and Television Technical Center, an exchange and discussion program on the theme "Revolutionary Journalism in the Era of Advancement" took place, attracting the participation of provincial leaders, veteran journalists, and young journalists.

The program is an opportunity to celebrate a century of journalistic journey, and also a forum to guide the development of local journalism in the digital age. After 21 years of formation and development, Hau Giang's journalism is affirming its role as a pioneering force in digital transformation, applying technology to serve the people, creating value, and accompanying the province's development.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, affirmed: Hau Giang's press has been closely accompanying the local socio-economic development. Each journalistic work not only conveys information but also serves as a bridge between the government and the people, spreading positive values and contributing to building social trust. The provincial press needs to continue to promote its role and strengths, providing timely information and contributing to building a modern and developed homeland.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Regional Political Academy II, believes that in the era of information explosion and artificial intelligence, journalists must uphold their integrity, ethics, and professional ideals. Technology is an extension of the hand, but content remains the soul of journalism. Modern journalism needs to be humane and enlightening, meeting the increasingly high information demands of the public.
At the panel discussion, speakers argued that journalism should not only focus on reporting but also on storytelling using technology, building quality content based on data, and incorporating in-depth analysis and commentary. The overarching message of the program was: Journalism moves forward on two legs: content and technology.
Young reporters from Hau Giang share their training process in a professional, creative, and digitized environment. From applying artificial intelligence to analyze information trends to using motion graphics software and 3D rendering, the young journalistic team is gradually becoming multi-platform storytellers.
The program concluded with the message: The more modern journalism becomes, the more humane it needs to be. With the right direction from the provincial leadership, systematic investment in technology, and a dedicated team of journalists, Hau Giang's journalism is confidently transforming itself, continuing to write beautiful stories in today's social life. In recent times, Hau Giang's journalism has made significant strides in applying technology.
The province has boosted digital media communication, livestreaming news and policy programs; producing interactive television using artificial intelligence, graphics, and data analysis. Hau Giang is also one of the first provincial-level media agencies to implement a comprehensive digitalization strategy.
Local media outlets are not racing against the speed of social media, but are prioritizing the production of analytical news, in-depth commentary, and proposed solutions – just as President Ho Chi Minh once advised, "The press should not only reflect but also educate and guide the people."
