(Dong Nai) - On the morning of January 15th, along with other projects and works in Dong Nai province that were launched and opened to traffic to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), the technical opening ceremony of the Dong Nai Riverfront Road Project took place.

Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Ho Van Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward; Dang Thi Minh Nguyet, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Long Khanh Ward; and leaders of several departments, agencies, and localities.

The Dong Nai Riverfront Road Project is a crucial transportation infrastructure project with significant importance in the province's urban and socio-economic development strategy. The road, spanning 5.2 km, has a total investment of approximately 1.3 trillion VND (including about 450 billion VND for construction and about 800 billion VND for land compensation and clearance), and construction began in late 2021.

After a period of effort, overcoming many difficulties related to construction conditions, land clearance, and fluctuating material prices, the project has been basically completed and is ready for technical traffic opening, meeting requirements for quality, aesthetics, and traffic safety.

The Dong Nai Riverfront Road is 34 meters wide, with 6 lanes, a central median, and sidewalks on both sides. Along with this, a comprehensive lighting system, greenery, and riverside parks have also been developed. Upon completion and opening, the Dong Nai Riverfront Road will help alleviate traffic congestion on Huynh Van Nghe Street; the road will also create an urban landscape axis on the eastern bank of the Dong Nai River.

In the future, along with the investment in the Hoa An Bridge Underpass Project, which will connect the Dong Nai riverside road with Nguyen Van Tri road, linking through the Cai riverside road, it will create a new transportation landscape for the central urban area of ​​Dong Nai.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward, Ho Van Nam, affirmed: The commissioning of the Dong Nai riverside road is of particular importance, contributing to the completion of the urban transportation network and strengthening connectivity between the central area and surrounding areas. The project also creates new development space along the river, promoting urban beautification and the development of trade, services, and tourism .

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward, Ho Van Nam, commended and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, consulting unit, construction contractor, departments, agencies, and local authorities for their close coordination and high sense of responsibility in ensuring the project's early opening to traffic. The provincial leadership also expressed sincere gratitude for the consensus, support, and cooperation of the people, especially the households in the project area, who complied with the land clearance policy, significantly contributing to the overall progress of the project.

To complete the entire project, in the coming period, relevant units will continue to finalize the remaining items according to the approved design; organize the management, operation, and maintenance of the road effectively, ensuring traffic safety and urban aesthetics. This will create a basis for maximizing the investment efficiency of the project, in conjunction with the sustainable urban development plan along the Dong Nai River.
