Seized drifting object shaped like a drone

On the morning of December 16, the Sa Ky Port Border Guard Station coordinated with local military agencies to conduct a preliminary inspection of a strange object that drifted to the beach area of An Vinh village, Tinh Ky commune (Quang Ngai city) and was discovered by Mr. Tran Thanh (65 years old), a local resident, and brought back to his family.

Recorded at the scene, the strange object had the shape of a drone, about 3m long, 30cm in diameter, with 2 wings in the middle of the body, each wing is equivalent to 65m long. Along with the above dimensions, the head, tail and body of the strange object had propellers attached and many numbers and foreign symbols printed on them.

Authorities conducted a preliminary inspection of a strange object that drifted to the beach area of An Vinh village, Tinh Ky commune ( Quang Ngai city).

Mr. Thanh said, at around 6:00 p.m. on December 15, I went fishing in the coastal area of An Vinh village, Tinh Ky commune and discovered this object.

Due to drifting at sea, some details on the device were deformed. Therefore, after working with Mr. Thanh and taking preliminary notes, the Sa Ky Port Border Guard Station collected the object and brought it to the storage unit.

The unit also reported to superiors to coordinate with authorities to determine the origin and function of the above object.
