Recall of substandard batch of herbal shampoo.

The Drug Administration Department (Ministry of Health) has just issued a notice suspending the circulation and recalling nationwide a batch of Aladin herbal shampoo for lice, 1 tube of 30g, manufactured by the Ha Nam branch of Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company.

Batch number 0050924; expiry date 13/9/2027; The organization responsible for bringing the product to market is Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company (address: Lot CC1-III.13.4, Phap Van New Urban Area Project, Tu Hiep Ward, Hoang Liet Commune, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi); manufactured by Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company branch in Ha Nam (Address: Dong Van Industrial Park, Dong Van Ward, Duy Tien Town, Ha Nam Province).

The reason given for the recall is that the tested sample failed to meet quality standards because it contained methylparaben, which is not included in the formula of the cosmetic product that had been granted a product registration certificate.

The specialized agency of the Ministry of Health requests that local health departments notify businesses and users of cosmetics in their areas to immediately cease trading and using the aforementioned batch of Aladin herbal shampoo for lice (1 tube, 30g) and return it to the supplier; proceed with recalling and destroying the infringing product batch; and take action against the violating units.

Specifically, the Hanoi Department of Health and the Ha Nam Provincial Department of Health are supervising Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company and its Ha Nam branch in the recall and destruction of the batch of products that do not meet regulations; and the revocation of the cosmetic product declaration form.

Inspect Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company and its branch in Ha Nam regarding their compliance with legal regulations on cosmetic management in the production and business of cosmetics.

Sao Thai Duong Joint Stock Company, and its branch in Ha Nam, must send recall notices to all distributors and users of the Aladin herbal lice-killing shampoo (30g tube per box) mentioned above; receive returned products and recall and destroy the entire batch that does not meet the regulations.
