With impressive scores: Math 8.75; Literature 8.75, English 9 (coefficient 1) and Biology 8.5 (coefficient 3), Nguyen Hoang Duc Tuan - class 9A1, iSchool Ha Tinh International Integration School has become the valedictorian of the Biology specialized class at Ha Tinh Specialized High School for the 2025-2026 school year. This is also a meaningful gift that Duc Tuan brought back to his teachers, friends and family.
That achievement is the result of great effort and determination on the path to conquering knowledge and is also an impressive start in Tuan's journey to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.
Tuan shared: “This year’s Biology exam was not too difficult but quite new, requiring candidates to think and be able to apply knowledge to practical situations instead of just memorizing. However, because I had studied and practiced this type of exam, I was quite calm during the exam. However, the result of becoming the valedictorian of the Biology class also surprised and made me happy.”
Studying and training in an integrated, dynamic environment that focuses on developing thinking and application skills, Duc Tuan was soon encouraged, supported, and inspired by his passion for the subjects by teachers at iSchool Ha Tinh. From the inspiring teaching methods of the teachers, especially the subject teachers, Tuan became increasingly passionate and fond of Biology. Each lesson is a piece of life, from the metabolism in each tiny cell, to the perfect operating mechanism of the human body, or even the evolution of all species in nature... these things create a sense of closeness, reality and attraction. Also from the love and passion for the subject, Tuan gradually ignited and lit the fire of his dream of entering a specialized school, becoming a doctor to treat and save people.
In 8th grade, Tuan was trusted by his subject teacher to train excellent students to skip grades, but the results were not as expected. At that time, Tuan was very sad and somewhat self-conscious and discouraged. But with the encouragement of his teachers, especially his mother's encouragement: as long as he did not give up, as long as he was determined and kept trying, he would overcome himself... it gave Tuan strength on the path to realizing his dream. The 3rd prize for excellent students in the province in Biology for 9th grade did not make Tuan satisfied with himself, but it gave him more confidence to conquer his dream of a specialized school, and he did it.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai - Tuan's mother shared: "His father passed away early, his mother was busy with business so she didn't have much time to be with him, but I always respected his choice and encouraged him to keep trying. Tuan has a very good sense of self-study, has the will and determination to rise up, that's what makes me proud of him. The achievement he achieved in the 10th grade entrance exam is an honor for the whole family, but above all, his high determination has helped him surpass himself on the path to conquering knowledge."
