According to statistics from Sky Sport , since the 2018-2019 season, Andre Onana has become the goalkeeper who has made the most mistakes in the Champions League.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper has made 7 mistakes leading to goals for the clubs he plays for, 4 more than the second-ranked goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer.

In the decisive second leg match for a ticket to the Champions League round of 16 against Galatasaray, goalkeeper Onana made two unbelievable mistakes leading to his team's loss, causing Man Utd to regrettably share points with the Turkish team.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper did not handle Man Utd's first goal, which came from a Galatasaray free-kick just outside the box. Onana easily let Hakim Ziyech shoot through the wall and straight into the net.

In Galatasaray's second goal, Onana made an even more serious mistake. Also from a free kick outside the box on the right wing, the ball did not go too hard but Onana let the ball hit his hand and go straight into the net in a confusing way.

This loss caused Man Utd's spirit to decline and the team's loss of victory was almost inevitable.
