On the morning of July 27, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong visited and presented 500 gifts in Ha Dong and Kim Thanh communes ( Hai Phong City) on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).
Accompanying the delegation were comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; leaders of a number of city departments and branches.
In Ha Dong commune, the delegation presented 500 gifts, including 400 gifts for families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and sick soldiers in difficult circumstances and 100 gifts for children in difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties and studying well, who are children of war invalids, sick soldiers and policy beneficiaries. The medical delegation of the Ministry of Health coordinated with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and the Hai Phong City Department of Health to organize medical examinations, give gifts and distribute free medicine to the above subjects.
In Kim Thanh commune, the delegation organized free medical examinations and medicine for 400 relatives of martyrs, wounded and elderly sick soldiers; presented 200 gifts to disadvantaged children with good academic performance who are children of policy families; 22 gifts to disadvantaged elderly policy families; 1 medicine cabinet and medical equipment, 1 computer set for Kim Thanh commune Health Station; supported free heart surgery for 10 children with congenital heart disease.
Total value nearly 1 billion VND.
Speaking at the places they visited, comrades Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of Health; Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee sent their regards, gratitude and deep thanks to the families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and sick soldiers.
The leaders hope that the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of policy beneficiaries in Ha Dong and Kim Thanh communes will maintain their health, be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren, and be a flame that adds strength and revolutionary ideals to the younger generation, contributing to preserving peace and independence of the nation.
The comrades suggested that the city's health sector and local medical examination and treatment facilities pay more attention to the health of the people, especially families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services.
