Prime Minister attends groundbreaking ceremony of school in mountainous commune of Da Nang

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of October 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tay Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School project in Da Nang city.

The project has a total investment of more than 262 billion VND, implemented according to the Politburo 's policy on building 248 schools in border communes across the country.

This is a project of special importance, demonstrating the attention of the Party and State to the cause of education and socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion when being welcomed by the people and students in a warm atmosphere.

The Prime Minister requested Da Nang city to start construction on six schools in the land border area this year, and to complete them by August 15, 2026 at the latest.

For the Tay Giang Primary and Secondary Boarding School, which started construction today, the Prime Minister requested that it be completed before June 30, 2026.

The head of the Government also applauded Tay Giang commune for preparing the site very quickly and suggested immediately constructing phase 2 of the project. He emphasized that each project must be completed immediately, without delay...

The Tay Giang Commune Primary and Secondary Boarding School project is built on an area of ​​4.24 hectares, with a total investment of more than 262 billion VND, a scale of 1,000 students and 30 classrooms.

The project includes a 3-storey block of classrooms and the principal's office, a 3-storey block of primary school boarding houses, a 3-storey block of secondary school boarding houses, a 3-storey block of official housing for teachers, a 1,000-seat dining hall and kitchen, etc.

In addition, the project also has a multi-purpose sports hall, cultural activity house, library, outdoor sports field: basketball, volleyball, badminton and physical activities, garden to experience production activities for students, landscape, garden...

The school is expected to be completed and handed over in June 2026 in time for the 2026-2027 school year, meeting the learning, living and comprehensive development needs of about 1,000 ethnic minority children in Tay Giang commune and neighboring areas.
