Electing 75 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee, term XVIII

On October 16, the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term elected 75 comrades to the 18th Executive Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee with a concentrated number of votes and a high percentage.

Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, 17th term, was elected with the highest number of votes, reaching 99.27%.

The 18th Hanoi Party Executive Committee held its first meeting, elected the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, Inspection Committee and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the 18th City Party Committee.

Previously, reporting on the Personnel Project of the Party Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, term XVIII, on behalf of the Presidium, comrade Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, term XVII, said that in preparing personnel for the congress, the Hanoi Party Committee closely followed and strictly implemented the Party's regulations, the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, fully implemented the steps and procedures according to regulations, ensuring objectivity, democracy, publicity and transparency in developing the personnel project.

The personnel plan presented to the congress has been appraised by the competent authorities and approved by the Politburo. The recommended personnel must meet the general criteria: have a strong political stance, be absolutely loyal to the interests of the Party, the State and the people; adhere to Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the Party's innovation policy; have moral qualities, an exemplary and transparent lifestyle, strictly implement the Party's regulations, the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism, have a sense of organization and discipline and a high sense of responsibility in work, maintain internal solidarity; have the capacity to concretize and effectively organize the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, have a new vision, global thinking, the Capital's thinking and Hanoi's actions; have professional qualifications, political theory, and state management to meet the requirements and assigned tasks; healthy enough to perform duties, ensure age for appointment, and be nominated for candidacy according to Party regulations.

In addition to the above criteria, personnel need to have additional criteria: Being exemplary comrades of the City Party Committee in terms of political mettle, moral qualities and working capacity; having a sense of responsibility and knowledge to participate in building major policies and orientations for the city and the collective leadership and direction of the City Party Committee Executive Committee.

Personnel must have the capacity to concretize and direct the successful implementation of the Central's guidelines and the city's policies and resolutions in the assigned work areas; unite and promote the combined strength of the staff, party members and people.

The personnel plan also ensures structure, reasonable age, proportion of female and young staff, and distribution across fields and work areas to ensure comprehensive leadership, inheritance and development of the Executive Committee.

“Introduce the election of Party Committee members to comrades who meet the standards and conditions to be assigned to be in charge of the fields of Party building work, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, important State agencies in the city and communes, wards, and armed forces; however, do not lower the standards because of the structure,” Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, 17th term, emphasized. On October 17, the 18th Congress of Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030, continued working./.
