The US President will meet with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other key leaders to discuss measures to deepen cooperation between the US and Vietnam.
Over the past 10 years, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the US has increased more than five times, from 25 billion USD in 2012 to nearly 139 billion USD in 2022. Vietnam has risen to become the 7th largest trading partner of the US worldwide.
US investment in Vietnam is continuously increasing and especially investment of Vietnamese enterprises in the US is also becoming a trend.
Every year, there are about 23,000 to 25,000 Vietnamese students studying in the US. Vietnam is the leading country in Southeast Asia and the 5th in the world with students studying in the US. American tourists remain in the top 5 of international visitors to Vietnam.
