On July 1, information from the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that the Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 1404/QD-TTg approving the task of planning the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the special national relic My Son Sanctuary until 2035, with a vision to 2050.
According to the decision, the planning research area has an area of about 30,875 hectares, within the administrative unit where the relic is located (including the protected area of the Special National Monument of My Son Temple and the protected area of relics related to My Son Temple, such as Tra Kieu, Bang An, Thu Bon River basin, other archaeological sites and Champa ruins).
The planning scale is the entire area of 1,158 hectares of protected zones I and II of the special national relic My Son Temple Complex (according to the Prime Minister's decision dated August 12, 2009 on ranking as a special national relic).
The subjects of planning research are the system of temples, ruins and architectural-archeological vestiges, mountain and forest landscapes, streams... creating the special typical values of the My Son National Special Monument; intangible cultural values related to the monument (festivals, customs, folk legends...).
The planning objective is to preserve, restore and restore the values of the My Son National Special Monument; protect forest resources, biodiversity and cultural heritage of the community in the planning study area on the basis of inheriting the objectives of the Planning for Conservation and Promotion of the Value of My Son Relic Site in the period 2008-2020; at the same time, promote the value of the My Son National Special Monument, continue to be an attractive cultural tourist destination, connect with other historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in the locality, form a chain of tourism products, combine protection and environmental protection, contribute to the socio -economic development of the locality.
The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Da Nang City to preside over and organize the planning, allocate capital, approve the cost estimates for planning and other costs related to planning work; assign the investor agency, select the planning consultancy unit in accordance with legal regulations. At the same time, preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant ministries and branches to organize the preparation and submission for approval of the planning project in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and related legal regulations... The Decision takes effect from July 1, 2025.
