On July 2, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Chairman of Vinh Hung Commune People's Committee, Tay Ninh Province, said that he had sent militia and civil defense teams to stand guard along both sides of Lo Gach River, near the Lo Gach archaeological site, to monitor and ensure the safety of people when there was information about crocodiles appearing in this section of the river.

Authorities are searching for the crocodile that appeared on the Lo Gach River.

At the same time, the People's Committee of the commune has issued a notice to the people in the area by loudspeaker, posted information on social networks to help people grasp, limit activities (bathing, washing, getting water for farming) of boats moving through this section of the river, especially prohibiting children from swimming in the river to avoid danger. The People's Committee of the commune has also implemented folk measures to lure crocodiles.

Earlier in the evening of July 1, some people traveling by boat across this section of the river discovered a large crocodile floating on the river. When they heard a loud noise, the crocodile dived into the river and was not seen resurfacing. The boat people searched along both sides of the river but could not find it, so they reported it to the Commune People's Committee.
