Following the success of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2024 with the theme "Sustainable development strategy in the new era", the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 with the theme " Science and technology and driving force for sustainable development" will focus on one of the key factors to promote sustainable development in the new era: science and technology.
The theme of this year's forum is considered to be consistent with the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo , which is to take science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the driving force for development.
Bringing together scientists, business leaders, and policy makers, this year's forum focuses on harnessing the power of technology to solve major challenges.
Within the framework of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 organized by Dan Tri newspaper, Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 aims to honor businesses and organizations that implement ESG and have outstanding commitments and achievements in implementing ESG, especially in applying science and technology towards sustainable development.
Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong - Executive Director of EMLV Business School France, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global)
Professor Khuong has more than 100 research works and articles published in prestigious international scientific journals and many monographs in the UK, France, Germany, and the US. In addition, he is also a member of the editorial board of more than 10 specialized journals on international economics and finance.
In 2016, Mr. Khuong was ranked 7th out of 200 outstanding young economists in the world by the RePEc (Research Papers in Economics) Project. Sharing his views on ESG implementation, Mr. Khuong believes that if businesses want to survive, integrate internationally, and access global capital flows, they must follow ESG orientation, because this is no longer an option but a mandatory path.
Dr. Le Thai Ha - Executive Director of Vinfuture Foundation, Executive Director of Green Future Fund
Dr. Ha is the only Vietnamese female scientist named in the top most influential scientists in the world (2021-2023). Ms. Ha has published about 80 research papers and articles in prestigious scientific journals - leading journals in the fields of energy economics, environment and applied economics.
Notably, she is also the Executive Director of the Green Future Fund - a newly established fund with the mission of contributing to the Government's goal of net zero emissions by 2050, towards a green tomorrow for future generations.
In addition, Ms. Ha has consulted for the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). This female doctor is also the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Fulbright Review of Economics and Policy.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Loc - Director of the Institute for Social Life Research
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Loc began researching and consulting on social issues in Vietnam in 2004, focusing on solving social problems in Vietnam, especially those related to disadvantaged groups, workers and the Catholic community in Vietnam.
After founding Social Life in 2017, Mr. Loc continued his research on the above target group, while expanding his expertise into practical issues of social life development.

Dr. Bui Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of Professional Affairs, Office of Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV)
Dr. Minh is one of the 10 members of the Senior Council of the Vietnam ESG Forum. He has extensive experience in developing many reports related to green transformation and ESG to the Prime Minister, relevant ministries, as well as associations and businesses nationwide to help remove barriers and promote the development of Vietnamese enterprises in general and private enterprises in particular.
Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 - a prestigious title honoring businesses that have made outstanding achievements in implementing ESG in science and technology towards sustainable development.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Principal of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City
Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung graduated from the National Economics University with a degree in Finance and Banking. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Banking Academy and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2016.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung used to work at the Banking Academy, holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Forecasting and Statistics - State Bank before being assigned as Vice Rector, Vice Rector in charge and now Rector of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Trung is also a member of the Senior Council of the Vietnam ESG Forum. In seminars and talks, he regularly shares many experiences and offers practical solutions related to the reality in Vietnam, helping Vietnamese businesses overcome difficulties, seize opportunities, and reach sustainable success.
Ms. Pham Minh Huong - Director of Sustainable Development Services, Deloitte Vietnam
Ms. Huong has over 18 years of experience in companies providing consulting services to businesses, mainly related to corporate restructuring and finance, especially governance, risk management and internal control to improve operations and sustainable development projects.
In addition, the Director of Deloitte Vietnam Sustainability Services also has a lot of research and experience in building ESG strategies for businesses. She has also attended many events related to ESG, sustainable development and has shared a lot of knowledge related to this field.
Mr. Pham Tuan Anh - Member of the Board of Members of Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam - PVN).
Mr. Pham Tuan Anh was appointed as Member of the Group's Board of Members from July 2023.
Before his appointment, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh was the Director of the General Department of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises. He is considered a capable officer with deep understanding of state management work and experience in coordinating and supervising the activities of large corporations and groups.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ta Hai Tung - Principal of School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Before taking up the position of principal, Mr. Tung spent many years studying and researching at training institutions and research institutes in Italy and Australia, including the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Mario Boella Institute for Advanced Study and the University of New South Wales.
He received his PhD in satellite positioning technology in 2010. He then participated in research at the SNAP laboratory (Australia) and the Department of Electronics of the Polytechnic University of Torino during the period 2009-2011.
Returning to Vietnam in 2011, he was the Director of the NAVIS Center - a cooperation unit between universities and research institutes of Vietnam, Italy and Spain, operating in the field of satellite positioning technology. In 2018, he was appointed Director of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, and in October 2021, he became the Rector when the institute was reorganized into a school.
Associate Professor Dr. Ta Hai Tung has been awarded a number of domestic and international awards, including the Golden Globe Award (2013), First Prize of the Vietnam Talent Competition (2015), the Medal of Merit from the President of Italy (2020), and a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister (2021) for participating in the citizen identification project.
Mr. Vu Thanh Thang - Director of Artificial Intelligence (CAIO), and founder of SCS Cyber Security Joint Stock Company.
As an Information Technology engineer who graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2003, Mr. Thang continued his studies and received advanced certificates in embedded system design at Seoul National University (Korea) and electronic equipment manufacturing in Taiwan in the same year. In 2007, he completed his Master of Information Technology program, specializing in signal processing at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
With over 20 years of experience in the technology field, he has held many important roles at Bkav.
Mr. Thang has extensive experience in consulting and designing artificial intelligence (AI) applications in many fields, especially IoT systems, AIoT, embedded systems and hardware devices. He also has strengths in architecture and management of software and hardware development as well as organizing and standardizing business operations towards comprehensive information technology applications.
With the success of Vietnam ESG Awards 2024, Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 will not only be a step to recognize efforts but also contribute to spreading the spirit of social responsibility, encouraging businesses to integrate ESG into their long-term business strategies.
