The two youngest faces in the medical industry to qualify as professors and associate professors in 2025 are Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tien and Dr. Dinh Duong Tung Anh. Notably, both were previously valedictorians in their university entrance exams.
Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tien , born in 1979, is from Hue . In 1997, he was the valedictorian of block B at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

In 2003, he graduated with honors as a General Practitioner. Also at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Mr. Hoang Anh Tien received his Master's degree in Internal Medicine in 2007 and his Doctorate in Internal Medicine - Cardiology in 2011.
He is attached to teaching at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy; worked at Hue Central Hospital and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Currently, he holds the position of Head of Cardiology Department of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.
Dr. Hoang Anh Tien was recognized as Associate Professor of Medicine in 2014, at the age of only 35, the youngest Associate Professor in the Vietnamese Medical field at that time.
To date, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tien has published 180 scientific articles, including 45 scientific articles in prestigious international journals, and published 18 books in prestigious publishing houses as editor or co-editor. He also has 15 scientific research topics at all levels.
Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tien focuses on two main research directions, including: Research on coronary artery intervention and current prominent related risk factors such as sleep apnea, hypertension and atherosclerosis; research on transcutaneous cardiac pacing and biological markers NT-ProBNP, sST2, T-wave alternating electrical markers, heart rate variability in the prognosis of arrhythmia and heart failure.
Dr. Dinh Duong Tung Anh , born in 1988, is from Hai Phong . In 2005, he was the famous valedictorian at Hai Phong Medical University with a score of 29.5 (biology 9.5; math 10; chemistry 10).
He received his MD from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2011. Before that, in 2008, Mr. Anh received his English degree from Hai Phong University.

Mr. Dinh Duong Tung Anh received his master's degree in 2015 from the University of Paris 7, France. In 2019, he received his doctorate from Kanazawa University, Japan.
Dr. Dinh Duong Tung Anh's working process is closely linked to the school where he was admitted as valedictorian. From an intern lecturer, he became a lecturer, Deputy Head of Pediatrics Department, and Deputy Head in charge of Pediatrics Department.
To date, Mr. Tung Anh has published 58 scientific articles, including 11 scientific articles in prestigious international journals; published 2 books by prestigious publishers.
Dr. Dinh Duong Tung Anh focuses on three research directions: Clinical pediatrics; antibiotic resistance of causative bacteria; developmental neuroscience.
