The Arts Council in the field of performing arts performs its functions, tasks, and working principles according to the provisions of Circular No. 08/2024/TT-BVHTTDL dated October 18, 2024 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Specifically, the council performs the function of advising the competent state agency in deciding on performing arts activities.
The Council is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and assessing performing arts activities using the state budget when requested by the head of a competent state agency in accordance with the provisions of law;
Analyze, evaluate and comment on performing arts activities at the request of the head of the competent state agency managing performing arts activities as prescribed in Decree No. 144/2020/ND-CP dated December 14, 2020 of the Government regulating performing arts activities.
The performing arts council operates on the principle of democratic centralism and makes decisions by majority vote. If necessary, the chairman of the council may decide not to convene a council meeting but to obtain written opinions from members.
In addition, the council performs tasks related to the fields of literature and art assigned by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
