Reclaiming nearly 503 hectares of land to implement the Tu Bong New Urban Area project

Van Thang Commune People's Committee has just announced the recovery of nearly 503 hectares/3,423 plots of land (1,600 affected cases) to implement the Tu Bong New Urban Area.

According to the plan, the investigation, survey, measurement and counting will be carried out in 2025 and 2026, starting from the effective date of the land reclamation notice (October 30). The time for land reclamation is 90 days for agricultural land and 180 days for non-agricultural land, from the date of issuance of the land reclamation notice. The project is expected to arrange resettlement for 50 cases at Van Thang Resettlement Area, phase 1.

The Tu Bong New Urban Area Project was approved by the Prime Minister on June 30. The project has a scale of more than 2,579 hectares, a population of 74,700 people, with a total investment of more than VND 43,000 billion, and is being implemented in Van Thang, Tu Bong, and Dai Lanh communes, in Van Phong Economic Zone. The preliminary product structure of the project includes: 1,002 townhouses, 609 villas, 3,812 apartments, 1,130 social housing; service works, resort tourism, tourist accommodation facilities; other public works serving residential units and urban areas.
