Concluding the online conference with ministries, branches and 26 provinces and cities to review, evaluate and draw lessons from the work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, on the morning of September 28, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented 5 lessons in forecasting, warning, leadership, direction, communication, mobilization of forces, and implementation to do better when complex natural disasters occur in the future.
The Prime Minister pointed out five lessons learned in responding to natural disasters, including timely, accurate, and early warnings; leadership and direction must be closely linked to reality, closely, resolutely, decisively, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, directing with focus and key points, all for the benefit of the State and the people; putting the goal of protecting the lives, health, and property of the State and the people above all, first of all, to mobilize all resources for the work of preventing, combating, responding to, and overcoming the consequences of storms and floods; ministries, branches, and localities must base on their functions, tasks, powers, and instructions at all levels to proactively prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters; in particular, attach importance to communication, information, forecasting, warning, and guidance on skills for preventing, combating, responding to, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters./.
