Shibata Gousei Company was established in 1968, operating mainly in the field of assembly, plastic injection processing, and mold manufacturing for automotive interior plastic parts.
Shibata Gousei is one of the typical enterprises in Gunma prefecture that is actively implementing digital transformation, applying digital technology in operations and production, realizing fully automated production lines using machines.

At the same time, the Company has many solutions and products that are environmentally friendly and reduce emissions such as products from recycled containers and biodegradable containers (patent on two-layer structure, in which the inner layer is common plastic, the outer layer is biodegradable plastic with the ability to decompose up to 90%).
The company has about 400 employees both domestically and internationally, including 30 Vietnamese employees working in Japan, holding many important positions such as programming engineers, designers, and manufacturers of automatic packaging machines, processing machines, etc. The company is looking to invest in Vietnam.

After hearing about the company and its operations and contributions from Vietnamese employees, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated and highly appreciated the company's development and achievements over the years; especially the use of high-quality human resources, automation, application of Internet of Things (IOT) technology in operations, as well as the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiative, green production, and clean production. This is also a major trend in the world, a mandatory requirement today.

At the recent COP28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio emphasized their determination to cooperate, promote international solidarity and multilateralism, and contribute to achieving the goal of reducing emissions and keeping the Earth's temperature from rising more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The Prime Minister was pleased to learn that many Vietnamese engineers and employees are working at the company, holding key positions in manufacturing automation equipment and digital transformation of the company, "treating the company as their home", with good working conditions and treatment. The Prime Minister expressed his thanks and hoped that the company's leaders would continue to receive more Vietnamese workers, always pay attention and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese engineers and employees to live and work conveniently, improve their skills, and learn advanced Japanese technologies.
"The Vietnam-Japan friendship is demonstrated right in the factory, Vietnamese and Japanese people join hands and unanimously develop the factory towards automation and environmental friendliness," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister wished the company further success and suggested that the company research, cooperate and invest in Vietnam, contributing to the relationship between Gunma province and Vietnam and the recently established Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

For Vietnamese workers, the Prime Minister hopes that they will always be united, work hard, strive to learn, improve their skills, progress, contribute to the company and to the Vietnam-Japan relationship, and when possible, contribute to the country's socio-economic development.

* Gunma Prefecture is located in the center of Japan, near Tokyo, is the hometown of 04 Japanese Prime Ministers; population of about 2 million people, GDP in 2021 about 62 billion USD, has strengths in the manufacturing of transportation equipment, components, food, chemicals, plastics.
Currently, there are 45 enterprises of the province investing in Vietnam in fields such as plastics, transportation equipment, etc. More and more enterprises of Gunma province are interested and want to expand their investment in Vietnam. The Vietnamese community in the province is about 12,000 people, the largest foreign community here.
Gunma Prefecture regularly cares for and supports the Vietnamese community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic; actively promotes the province's businesses to invest and expand business in Vietnam.
Cooperation between Gunma province and Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities has achieved results in many fields such as investment, human resource training, people-to-people exchange, etc.
