The dairy industry faces the need to innovate its supply chain.

In recent years, the Vietnamese dairy industry has made remarkable progress, not only in terms of market size but also in product quality, production capacity, and access to international standards.

Alongside this, sectors such as ice cream, bubble tea, and modern beverages are also experiencing strong growth, contributing to the expansion of the consumer ecosystem and increasing value for the industry.

However, alongside the opportunities come increasingly significant challenges regarding quality requirements, food safety, traceability, and sustainable development.

Dr. Tran Quang Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Dairy Association, delivered a speech.

Against this backdrop, on May 28th, the Vietnam Dairy Association, in collaboration with the Vietnam Exhibition and Advertising Joint Stock Company, inaugurated a series of exhibitions including the 5th International Dairy and Dairy Products Exhibition in Vietnam (Vietnam Dairy 2026), the Vietnam Ice Cream Expo, and the Vietnam Milk Tea and Beverage Innovation Expo.

With the theme "The Dairy Industry Value Chain: Innovation and Sustainable Development," the event brought together hundreds of businesses, brands, and organizations from many countries such as the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Ireland, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia, France, China, and Vietnam.

Spanning an area of approximately 4,000 m² with 250 booths, this year's exhibition not only reflects the growing scale of the dairy industry but also demonstrates the strong shift of the entire industry towards a development model based on technology, data, international standards, and sustainable consumption.

The exhibition serves as a bridge for domestic and international businesses to enhance trade, access new technologies, and expand their markets.

Digital transformation and green development have become the dominant trends.

The delegates cut the ribbon to officially open the exhibition.

Dr. Tran Quang Trung, Chairman of the Vietnam Dairy Association, expressed that global and domestic consumer trends are undergoing profound changes, where consumers not only demand nutritious and safe products but also care about whether the production process is environmentally friendly.

Therefore, Vietnam Dairy 2026 is expected to be a launching pad to help Vietnamese businesses gain deeper access to net emission reduction technologies and apply circular economy principles from farm animal husbandry to packaging, in order to realize the government's Net Zero goal.

Vietnam Dairy 2026 recorded an impressive expansion with the participation of 250 booths from countries and territories with developed dairy industries such as New Zealand, Taiwan (China), Australia, Japan, along with many major Vietnamese brands.

Vietnam Dairy 2026 is not only a place to showcase and introduce products, but also a high-tech forum, shaping healthy consumer trends and promoting environmentally friendly dairy farming and processing models, aiming for net-zero emissions.

A unique feature of this 5th edition of the exhibition is the simultaneous presence of specialized spaces including the Vietnam Ice Cream Exhibition and the Milk Tea and Modern Beverage Exhibition. This combination provides a comprehensive and diverse picture of the beverage industry's value chain based on dairy ingredients, meeting the rapid growth of the modern consumer market.

The organizing committee will collaborate with regulatory agencies and research institutes to hold a series of in-depth thematic workshops. Key topics will include disseminating Vietnamese technical standards for processed dairy products, discussing the role of milk in school nutrition, and applying high technology to improve productivity and efficiency in sustainable dairy farming.

These workshops are expected to remove many policy and technical bottlenecks, helping domestic businesses get closer to international safety and transparency standards.

Beyond targeting businesses, this year's exhibition also promotes experiential activities and community education . A series of activities such as "Ice Cream Street," "Milk Tea Street," a dairy product experience zone, a "Happy Farm" play area, nutritional counseling, and the "Exchange Paper Cartons for Green Gifts" program attracted a large number of consumers and children.

The exhibition will continue to be open to the public free of charge until May 31, 2026.
