Established in 2021, thanks to investments in modern equipment and production lines, ensuring food safety and hygiene, and meeting ISO 22000:2018 standards in its production process, Vinh Thinh Dairy Processing Joint Stock Company (Vinh Tuong) has now firmly established itself in the provincial market with its pasteurized fresh milk and yogurt products under the "Vinh Tuong Milk" brand, processed from cow's milk.
In 2024, many of the company's processed dairy products were recognized as provincial-level OCOP products and honored as typical rural industrial products at the regional level. To date, nearly 40 schools in Vinh Tuong and Yen Lac districts are using the company's dairy products in their student meals.
Along with Vinh Thinh Dairy Processing and Livestock Joint Stock Company, the province has seen an increasing number of businesses operating in the food and beverage processing industry. Since 2015, the province has issued numerous mechanisms and policies to encourage businesses to invest in rural agricultural development, creating a positive and widespread impact on investment projects in the food processing industry.

In fact, thanks to effectively exploiting the opportunities and potential of agricultural raw materials and gradually applying advanced production and processing processes, in the last 5 years, the number of businesses and workers in the food processing industry of the province has tended to increase quite rapidly; the industry has experienced a fairly high growth rate of 14% per year.
Some key products contributing to the industrial value of the province's food and beverage processing industry include tea; vegetable oil; milk, rice milk powder… and handicraft products (wine, sausages, yogurt, milk cakes…).
To date, according to statistics, there are 78 enterprises and cooperatives operating in the food processing industry in the province, employing nearly 5,000 workers. In particular, aiming for the in-depth development of the food processing industry with many high-value products exported to foreign markets, the province has created favorable conditions to attract many large-scale enterprises to invest in the area.
Notably, the Tam Dao Beef Farm and Processing Plant Complex, a joint venture between Vilico (a subsidiary of Vinamilk ) and the Japanese diversified conglomerate Sojitz, has a total investment of VND 1,670 billion. Construction began in 2023 on 75.6 hectares in Tam Dao district, featuring automated slaughtering and processing lines, intelligent conveyor systems, and packaging, which help maintain the temperature and freshness of the meat, meeting the stringent standards of major markets such as Japan and Europe.
With all components becoming fully operational from May 2025, the project is expected not only to meet domestic market demand but also to aim for exporting high-quality "Made in Vietnam" beef to many countries around the world , boosting the province's food processing industry to a new level.
Nevertheless, the majority of businesses operating in the province's food processing industry are small-scale; the number of businesses participating in value chain production is still small; few businesses have products for export because they do not meet the strict technical and quality requirements and standards... leading to low product value and development not commensurate with potential advantages...
To promote the development of the province's food and beverage processing industry in the coming period, linked with the planning of raw material areas, creating a foundation for the industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, based on a close connection of interests between the processing industry and raw material producers, the province encourages and facilitates small and medium-sized enterprises to innovate technology and equipment;
Facilitate joint ventures and partnerships with large enterprises in the region and nationwide; attract investment and develop a number of large-scale enterprises in the area; develop certain products in the processing industry that have advantages in local raw materials and have domestic and export markets, such as tea products (black tea, green tea, tea bags, flavored tea); powdered nutritional products; ready-made food and baked goods, etc.
