Carry out many projects and tasks for community life

Thoi Long Ward Youth Union has just coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations of the ward to organize a launching ceremony for the implementation of projects and tasks to celebrate major holidays and the congresses of the Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the forces started to clear bushes, clean the environment and hang the national flag on Tran Ngoc Hoang Street, 1km long. Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Kieu in Thoi Hoa B area, excitedly said: "The youth union members and youth focused on collecting garbage, cutting down tree branches that obscured the view and hanging the national flag. Since then, Tran Ngoc Hoang Street has become clear, ensuring safety for traffic participants."

Previously, in July 2025, Thoi Long Ward Youth Union coordinated with the Ward Women's Union to organize the project "National Flag Road". Accordingly, union members hung 120 national flags on a 3km long road in Long Thanh area. The project aims to arouse patriotism and national pride among union members and people; at the same time, raise people's awareness of hanging flags on holidays and Tet, contributing to beautifying the landscape, creating a green, clean and beautiful living environment.

On the occasion of the new school year 2025-2026, Thoi Long Ward Youth Union coordinated with the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the ward to organize the program "Helping children go to school". Implementing the program, agencies and units mobilized philanthropists to award 80 scholarships, each worth from 500,000 to 1 million VND, 210 study gifts to students in difficult circumstances. In addition, Thoi Long Ward Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union and the Women's Union of Can Tho City Police to organize a law propaganda session and awarded 150 gifts to policy families, people and students in difficult circumstances. This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and initiative of Thoi Long youth in taking care of social security... According to the plan, the Ward Youth Union will continue to coordinate to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the ward.

Mr. Tran Huu Tri, Deputy Secretary of Thoi Long Ward Youth Union, said: “In addition to regular activities to welcome the 1st Congress of Can Tho City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, in September 2025, Thoi Long Youth Union coordinated with the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and related units to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Thanh Long Bridge in Rach Sung area. According to the design, Thanh Long Bridge is 25m long, the bridge surface is 3.5m wide, the total construction cost is more than 340 million VND from socialized sources. The project is expected to be completed after 3 months of construction”.
