Giving water filtration equipment to ethnic minorities

QTO - On September 22, the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the Plan Project Office of Quang Tri province (under Plan International Vietnam) to organize a ceremony to hand over water filtration equipment to people in Truong Son commune.

This is one of the activities in the cooperation program and cooperation agreement under the project "Supporting agricultural livelihoods adapting to climate change to enhance the role of women in disadvantaged communes", sponsored by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

This time, the organizing committee presented 541 ceramic water filters and instructions on how to use them to households in Truong Son commune, including 354 households in Truong Son commune (old) and 187 households in Truong Xuan commune (old). This is considered a simple, effective and environmentally friendly water filtration solution, ensuring that people, especially women and children, have access to safe and hygienic drinking water.

Previously, the Organizing Committee also presented 180 households in Dan Hoa commune with water collection and filtration equipment. Each household received a 1,500-liter water tank, water filter, and stand.
