According to information from Van Ban Commune Police, on the morning of September 21, Ms. Chung left her home to go to the hill to collect medicinal herbs. Late at night, her family did not see Ms. Chung return, organized a search but had no results, so they reported to the local authorities.

That very night, the Commune Police advised the local Party Committee and authorities to deploy the "four on-the-spot" policy, mobilizing hundreds of people, militia, and grassroots security forces to divide into many groups, spreading out to mountainous areas to search through the night.
By the early morning of September 22, heavy rain forced the search to be suspended. When the weather cleared, the team returned to the scene and discovered some of Ms. Chung’s personal belongings by the stream, about 4 km from her home.
The search team immediately cordoned off the area and increased the number of personnel and vehicles. At around 10:30 a.m. the same day, Ms. Chung was found, in stable health.

The incident once again shows the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the community in rescue work, and at the same time reminds families to pay more attention to the elderly, avoid letting them go to the forest or fields alone, which is potentially risky.
