Journey to the source in Van Phu commune

On September 21, generations of students from the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences organized a program to return to the source in Van Phu commune.

High School for Natural Sciences donated 50 million VND to the Van Phu Commune Scholarship Fund.

At the program, delegates offered incense at Luu Nhan Chu Temple at Van Mountain - Vo Mountain Relic Site, and offered incense at the 27-7 National Historical Relic Site.

The Organizing Committee has awarded 50 million VND to the Van Phu Commune Scholarship Fund; at the same time, donated 4 gratitude projects, of which 3 projects have been completed, accepted and handed over for use; namely: Commemorative stele, umbrella system for the yard of Van Yen Primary School and 100 Xuan Hoa stainless steel chairs for the Cultural House of Dinh 2 Hamlet. The 4th project is to widen the road of Dinh 1 Hamlet, currently the people in the hamlet are clearing the land.

Van Phu Commune was the evacuation site for teachers and students of the University of Natural Sciences during the period of 1965-1969, when the US bombed the North. During their time studying here, the local people took care of and sheltered generations of students of the School.
