More than 200 soldiers support people of Linh Son ward to overcome the consequences of floods

On the afternoon of October 11, more than 200 officers and soldiers of Special Forces Battalion 20 (General Staff, Military Region 1) and Warehouse K21 (Department of Technical Logistics) together with union members and youth of Linh Son ward assisted people in overcoming the consequences of floods caused by storm No. 11.

In heavily affected areas such as Mo Da and Nui Hot residential groups, soldiers and union members and youths urgently helped people clean up mud, clean the environment, move belongings, collect garbage and clean houses, yards... to soon stabilize their lives.

Linh Son Ward is one of the areas most severely damaged in Thai Nguyen province during the recent floods. Rising water levels caused hundreds of households to be deeply submerged, and many roads, schools, and public works to be damaged.

Since the storm No. 11 began to affect the area (from October 7), officers and soldiers of the two units were mobilized to participate in the response, support the evacuation of people from flooded areas, and bring them to safety. At the same time, organize the supply of food, drinking water and necessities to isolated areas; coordinate with local forces to rescue, ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

When the water receded, officers and soldiers of the two units, along with other forces, continued to help people dredge mud, clean up belongings, and disinfect the environment...
