The seminar, organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in collaboration with the Tax Department, will take place from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM on January 15th at the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department auditorium (63 Vu Tong Phan Street, Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and will be streamed online to 34 provincial and city tax offices.
The workshop was attended and directed by leaders of the Tax Department, representatives of professional departments such as the Policy Department, the Digital Transformation Department, the E-commerce Tax Sub-department, etc.; representatives of several departments and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City, solution providers and more than 250 households and individual businesses in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Tax Department directly guides and supports business households in filing tax returns.
At the workshop, the Tax Department will focus on providing information and guidance on new policies regarding tax declarations for household and individual businesses.
Accordingly, how should households and individual businesses declare and calculate taxes, use electronic invoices, maintain accounting records, and manage revenue in accordance with regulations?
The highlight of the program is a 90-minute live Q&A session. During this session, leaders from the Tax Department and relevant departments will directly listen to the difficulties faced by business households when implementing policies in practice, discuss solutions, and receive suggestions from business households to improve policies.
In addition, tax experts will advise and warn against common mistakes made by household businesses when issuing invoices, recommend separating business and personal bank accounts, and analyze legal risks for household businesses that have not yet registered their business or tax registration.
Household businesses are having concerns.
According to Tuoi Tre Online , the biggest concerns and difficulties for household businesses today revolve around what information to declare and whether to declare it monthly, quarterly, or annually, depending on the scale of their revenue.
For households with annual revenue exceeding 1 billion VND, especially those selling consumer goods and fresh food in local markets, many people are wondering whether they are required to issue electronic invoices, and if so, whether they should issue them for each sale or a consolidated invoice at the end of the day.
For households with annual revenue of 1-3 billion VND, the question arises: when calculating personal income tax based on income (revenue - expenses), which expenses are deductible before tax calculation?
Furthermore, many households are concerned about having to implement electronic accounting records, as they are accustomed to manual record-keeping. They wonder what types of ledgers they need to create, whether they can do it themselves, or if they need to hire a tax agent.
Regarding software, in addition to the investment costs for point-of-sale equipment, software, digital signatures, etc., many businesses are also concerned about the risk of software crashes or errors during use. So, has the tax authority anticipated this situation, and what solutions are being implemented to support these businesses?
Readers and business owners with questions related to tax declarations are invited to send them to Tuoi Tre newspaper at kinhte@tuoitre.com.vn starting now.
