Humorous comments or simple designs with content about some familiar dishes being recognized as National Cultural Heritage are ways for netizens to spread and express their pride in their hometown's specialties.

Funny comments from netizens about dishes that have just been included in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage

On August 9, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just decided that Hanoi pho, Nam Dinh pho and Quang noodle making are listed in the National Intangible Heritage List. Hanoi pho, Nam Dinh pho and Quang noodles are all listed in the category of folk knowledge. The decisions have been positively responded to by the People's Committees of provinces, cities and the communities representing the heritage, as a measure to encourage the community to continue to preserve, maintain, practice and promote the quintessence of the profession.

However, just a few days later, there was an untrue piece of information, which was a document issued announcing that Nghe An province's eel porridge was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that "this is distorted and untrue information, causing negative impacts on the reputation of the Ministry and Minister Nguyen Van Hung personally".

Regarding this false information, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Information and Communications to verify the subject who forged documents of state management agencies and posted false information on social networks and handle them according to regulations.
