Since the beginning of July, Tax Department 8 has proactively taken on the additional task of returning the results of financial obligation notifications for land records. Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Head of Tax Department 8 of Gia Lai Province Tax, said: “With the spirit of speeding up and resolving land records for people in a timely and timely manner, the tax authority has coordinated with relevant units to proactively return the results of land financial obligation notifications, thereby reducing the waiting time for people.”

Currently, Tax Base 8 is managing taxes in 16 communes and wards in the western part of the province. With a large management area and a large workload, the team of tax officers and civil servants have proactively increased working hours outside of office hours to promptly process documents for people, especially land documents.
Ms. Truong Thi My Tam, an official of the Other Revenue Management Team (Basic Tax 8), shared: “From May and June, the number of land records transferred to the tax authority increased sharply. We had to work overtime, including on Saturdays and Sundays, to be able to process and return the results to the people. During the process of checking and reviewing the records, if any shortcomings were discovered, we would proactively contact and guide the people to supplement them promptly.”
With the spirit of drastic action, Tax Department 8 strives to shorten the time for handling administrative procedures, at the same time thoroughly handle the remaining files and promptly handle new files right after the 2-level local government model comes into operation. In the first 6 months of the year, the unit received 1,981 land use files with a total amount of 279.5 billion VND;
received 7,339 transfer dossiers with the amount of 38.4 billion VND; conducted inspection, review and issued financial obligation notices, returned results to taxpayers. In addition, the unit also managed land revenues and other revenues such as: Managing non- agricultural land use tax with 4,355 dossiers, issued 161 land rent notices, extensions, and land rent exemptions for taxpayers...
Mr. Vo Dinh Ton, Head of the Other Revenue Management Team (Basic Tax 8), said: “On average, the tax authority receives about 150 land records per day. There was a time when the online receiving system was interrupted for upgrading and conversion. When the system was back up and running, the number of records piled up was huge, forcing us to work day and night to ensure progress.”

In reality, in the process of implementing the 2-level local government model, the authorities need time to synchronize data according to the new administrative boundaries, and at the same time update and adjust information on land prices accurately, in accordance with regulations. Currently, the Tax Department 8 is closely following the direction of Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department, focusing on resolving administrative procedures for people and businesses. At the same time, it promotes the sense of responsibility of the head and each officer and civil servant in the process of processing documents.
Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Head of Tax Department 8, emphasized: “With the goal of minimizing administrative procedures and creating maximum convenience for people, the tax authority is currently responsible for returning documents to taxpayers. At the end of each working day, the unit's leaders proactively check, urge and review the status of receiving and processing documents. The goal is to resolve on time, even ahead of schedule, to shorten the waiting time for people."
