On the morning of August 31, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians' Group, received a delegation of the Constitutional Democratic Party led by Mr. Izumi Kenta, Party Chairwoman, visiting and working in Vietnam.
Welcoming Mr. Izumi Kenta and the delegation to visit and work in Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023), Comrade Truong Thi Mai sincerely thanked Japan for its contributions to Vietnam's socio-economic development over the past years.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai expressed her belief that the Constitutional Democratic Party will continue to develop and make positive contributions to the development and prosperity of Japan.
Comrade Truong Thi Mai affirmed the importance of the extensive strategic partnership with Japan, including relations between parties; Vietnamese agencies are ready to consider issues to facilitate Japanese investors.
Thanking the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan for always supporting and contributing to the Vietnam-Japan relationship, the Standing Secretariat suggested that the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan strengthen the relationship between the two Parties, the two Parliaments , and people-to-people relations; the Japanese Government continues to pay attention to supporting Vietnam in human resource development, cooperation in areas that Vietnam prioritizes, and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community studying, living and working in Japan.
Comrade Truong Thi Mai also discussed Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, and Vietnam's policy of upholding international law, consolidating peace, and peacefully resolving international disputes.
Mr. Izumi expressed his joy in visiting Vietnam, congratulated the Communist Party of Vietnam on leading the people to achieve many great achievements both domestically and internationally, highly appreciated the strong development of Vietnam-Japan relations in recent times, agreed with the opinions of comrade Truong Thi Mai on cooperation between the two countries in the coming time, discussed the concerns of Japanese investors, and wished to strengthen comprehensive cooperation in all fields.
The Chairman of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan expressed his delight at the two Parties re-signing the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation during this visit, and is ready to coordinate to effectively implement the Memorandum, bringing the relationship between the two Parties to develop even more strongly in the coming time.
Mr. Izumi believes that with high political trust, the Vietnam-Japan relationship will continue to develop comprehensively and substantially at all levels and in all fields. Japan hopes to have more Vietnamese people study and work in Japan. Mr. Izumi and comrade Truong Thi Mai agreed to promote the relationship between the two parties' youth.
Previously, on the afternoon of August 30, comrade Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission, had a working session with the delegation.
At the meeting, the two sides had an in-depth exchange of opinions on directions and measures to promote relations between the two Parties and the two countries in the coming time. On this occasion, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting exchanges and cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
